Composing Outside the Box
This program explores works by some of the world’s most famous composers, including Haydn, Puccini, Strauss, and Chopin. The twist is that none of the pieces included on the program (except one) are typical of any other work that particular composer ever created. Three of these great masters wrote many other monumental works outside of the chamber music realm, and one of them invented the most iconic of all chamber music forms. Join us as we explore what happens when creative geniuses go on an unexpected journey and “compose outside of the box!”
