Hanna Landrum

Violinist Hanna Landrum joined the Minnesota Orchestra in 2019. A native of Frontenac, Minnesota, Landrum began her studies on piano at the age of 3, and took up the violin at age 7, but she didn’t really practice much until entering the studio of Minnesota Orchestra violinist and celebrated pedagogue Aaron Janse. She earned both of her degrees as well as numerous awards from the Cleveland Institute of Music under the mentorship of David Updegraff and William Preucil.

In addition to being a highly trained violinist, Hanna is an enthusiastic chamber musician, celebrated voice actress, and one half of local electronic duo My Idle Little Fingers. When not onstage at Orchestra Hall, she’s likely to be found happily entrenched in practice rooms and studios all around the city, programming drum machines, eating her husband’s cooking, or telling her cats how cute they are.
